Helen G Events is an internationally respected destination wedding planning company in Jamaica and the winner of the prestigious ‘Brides Choice Awards’ for 2013 and Couples Choice Award for 2015 and 2016 on Wedding Wire. They were credited in the August 2015 issue of Destination Weddings Magazine as one of the top 5 reasons for getting married in Jamaica. In 2014 Helen G embarked on a mission to create a signature wedding event in Jamaica that would give wedding planners, future brides, and members of the service industry an opportunity to interact with each other in a meaningful way. The event was a tremendous success and was again executed in 2016 and in January 2017 with partnerships with Jamaica’s two biggest media houses the Gleaner Jamaica Limited and the RJR Jamaica Group. The Make Your Day Event was so successful that we decided to do a third staging next year again on Sunday January 28, 2018.

The Make Your Day Wedding Event features a Wedding Market & Wedding Planning Workshop as well as a Design A Dress Competition which is a Wedding Dress Design and Sew Competition for young Jamaican Designers where fans on social media select the top 5 dresses for about 10 to 20 entrants and a panel of judges select a wild card. The panel of judges then select the top 3 in a final showing that we host on Sunday January 28th at Eden Gardens Wellness Resort & Spa.

This is our 3rd year and we will have a new and exciting format this year and exciting prizes for our top 3 competitors. Again social media will select our top 5 and a wild card selection by our panel of judges. But there is a twist.
