Dresses From The Emmys For Weddings

Wow there was some serious fashion at this years Emmys and some are really great for weddings. Pastels are definitely in and we also saw some blues from Tina Fey, Giuliana Ranci and Alisson Williams.  Some Emerald Green was also present. Please check out these looks below that we love for brides and bridesmaids.

I love love this dress that Malin Akerman of Watchmen chose. So great for a bride (picture from the Huffington Post)

Brides-to-be are surely busy pinning the actress’s pale Marchesa gown (the official color is “duck egg”) featuring a sweetheart neckline, ruching and textured embroidery all the way down to the train. She tops the head-turning design with a coordinating Marchesa clutch and Neil Lane jewels.

Also loved Kerry Washingstons dress (pic from Huffington Post)

For bridemaids I liked this dress that Kelly Osbourne (in Jenny Packham)wore and the dress that Alisson Williams (in Ralph Lauren) and Tina Fey wore (in Narciso Rodriguez)  (all pics from Huffington Post):

Wedding Trends We Love

More and more trends are emerging and from the olympics to the runaway to weddings Braided Hairstyles are in and most brides want this on their big day. I have also been rocking some braided twists with a side part that end up with the two twists meeting in  ponytail to the back. Below are some looks we love:

My look below. I am just loving it.

Wedding Day Fashion

Go with classic looks rather than trends for hair and make up and also wedding day fashion. You don’t want to look back on your wedding pictures 15 years from now and wonder what was I thinking.

Your make up should look as if you are going to a wedding and not a party. I have been to and seen many pre-wedding make-up sessions and sometimes the look that the bride prefers is one that is high fashion as if you were going out to the club. My advise, keep it classic and just highlight and accentuate what you already have naturally. He fell in love with your natural look why change that? Further you don’t want to deviate too much away from your natural features so that no one can recognize you.
