Jamaican Waterfall Wedding

We had the pleasure of planning the Waterfall wedding of Laurel and Justin in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and booking their accommodations for them. They wanted a small and intimate wedding with a Jamaican feel. They also wanted their wedding in Jamaica to be fun for their guests some of whom have never been to Jamaica. For their wedding they chose to use apple or lime green with shades or purple and pink and it looked fabulous.

Their wedding guests enjoyed taking photos by the Waterfalls during the cocktail hour and while they waited on the bride and groom who left to take personal shots on a beach nearby. They dined on a menu made up of local Jamaican dishes and during the wedding reception they enjoyed live steel band music and then later danced to music provided by a DJ. They did not want to leave at the end of the evening!!!

Check out some highlights from their Jamaican Waterfall Wedding below:

Best Wedding Locations in Jamaica Part 1

We have come up with a list of wedding locations in Jamaica that we feel are the best for various reasons which we will try to state. Please note the list is not in order of importance:

Jamaican Beach Wedding at Laughing Waters

1. Laughing Waters – Ocho Rios – We love this location for a beach wedding in Jamaica. It has the trio that any bride would love beach, waterfalls and garden. You can hardly find if never these three settings in any one location in Jamaica. With this location you can bring in our own caterers and go as late as you want.

2, Bellefield Great House – Montego Bay – Looking for a great house wedding in Jamaica with a spectacular garden setting. Then this is it. The food is to die for.

3. Strawberry Hills – Kingston – OK the drive to get to  this location will take you about 45 minutes from Half Way Tree or New Kingston in Jamaica but its worth the drive. For me the view and the peace and serenity is well worth the drive. This is one of the best wedding locations in Jamaica and Kingston. Fantastic Mountain views. Food excellent. Accommodations 5 star. Need I say more!!! Strawberry Hills is excellent for a garden wedding in Jamaica.

4. Firefly – St. Mary – The views, the views the views. If you are looking for a wedding with a view in Jamaica, then this is it. It’s about 45 minutes from Ocho Rios and the drive can be scary for some but its worth it. Think about using a location for your wedding in Jamaica where a James Bond movie was filmed. Getting excited???

We will share our other favorite Jamaican wedding locations in another post.  But tell us what are your favorite wedding locations in Jamaica???
